About NorthWorx
NorthWorx is a Pennsylvania business helping independent local service companies connect their website, local visibility, reputation, communication, and repeatable operations.
Founder & Owner
He brings more than 15 years of hands-on experience in the automotive service industry, including work as a technician, service-management responsibilities, and day-to-day shop operations.
Working inside an independently operated local service business in Dingmans Ferry gave Ian a firsthand view of how easily customer communication, scheduling, websites, local visibility, reputation, follow-up, customer records, and internal processes can become disconnected while the team is focused on serving customers.
That operating experience now informs NorthWorx’s approach: start with the real bottleneck, make the process understandable, test carefully, and keep people in control.
Why NorthWorx exists
Good local businesses do not usually struggle because they lack skill or care. Often, the customer work demands so much attention that the systems surrounding it—the website, search visibility, reputation, scheduling, communication, follow-up, customer records, and day-to-day coordination—become disconnected or neglected.
Ian encountered that problem firsthand through more than 15 years in the automotive service industry. His experience includes technical work, service-management responsibilities, and the operational work involved in keeping a local service business moving while customers still need clear answers and dependable follow-through.
NorthWorx grew from the belief that technology around a local business should make the work clearer—not create another burden. That is why NorthWorx begins with the business problem rather than the software, connects the smallest useful system, keeps authority and exceptions visible, tests before activation, and improves from evidence instead of hype.
NorthWorx is based in Dingmans Ferry and serves the local PA–NJ–NY Tri-State area, with a primary focus on Pike County and northeastern Pennsylvania, northwestern New Jersey, and nearby New York communities; remote service may be available beyond the region when the engagement is a fit.
Consultations are available by appointment Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern. NorthWorx does not currently accept walk-in visits. The Dingmans Ferry office receives clients only after an appointment has been arranged.
Operating principles
Explain the customer problem, the system boundary, and the useful next decision before technical detail.
Separate activity, visibility, interactions, inquiries, and business outcomes. Do not manufacture proof.
Use automation for stable, repeatable actions while authority, exceptions, and consequential choices remain visible.
